Grady’s practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense in the firm’s Insurance Litigation and Liability Defense practice group. He works on a wide variety of matters, including medical negligence defense, premises and automobile liability, personal injury, and contracts, among other areas.
Prior to joining Sturgill Turner, Grady served as Staff Attorney to Fayette Circuit Court Judge Thomas L. Travis. Before law school, he spent five years as a civil litigation paralegal, working on a variety of civil matters related to real property, water rights, corporate transactions, and probate. Additional experience includes serving as a judicial extern with Fayette District Court Judge John L. Tackett and an internship with the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet. He also served as a legal research assistant for the Artificial Intelligence and the Law Project led by University of Kentucky Professor Michael D. Murray.
A former professional musician, Grady was a professor of music at Drake University and a public school music teacher before pursuing his legal career.
