Katie’s practice focuses on civil litigation and insurance defense. She serves as Chair of the firm’s Torts and Insurance practice group, and is the current President of the Fayette County Bar Association Women Lawyers’ Association.

Katie’s experience spans a wide variety of cases, including insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and more. Prior to joining Sturgill Turner, she worked in private practice in a regional defense firm, and had prosecuted more than five hundred felony cases as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fayette County. She is a contributing author to Kentucky Instructions to Juries (Criminal).

After her graduation from Centre College with degrees in government and Spanish, Katie spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer working for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), an organization which serves to represent abused and neglected children in the court system. She is a member of the Leadership Lexington Class of 2022-23.
