Barker, one of its members, has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2007 edition of "The Best Lawyers in America" in the specialties of Labor and Employment Law. This is the third consecutive year that he has been recognized nationally for his achievements. Stephen L. Barker is a 1975 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. He has been admitted to practice in Kentucky since 1975 and it also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.
