April 28, 2008
Lexington, Kentucky

On March 6 and 7, 2008, employees of Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, PLLC, participated in the United Way of the Bluegrass Extreme Community Makeover, a two-day renovation project focusing on volunteer work to improve local nonprofit agencies. Our team was responsible for doing an extreme makeover on the conference room used by the West End Community Action Council, who is involved in providing support to individuals and famlies in Lexington's west end.

The awards breakfast was held on March 25 to highlight the work of each team. Our team is pleased to announce that our volunteer team received the award for "Best Use of Budget" for stretching our budget to give the agency the most efficient use of the funds available. Our firm is extremely appreciative of the extreme generosity and donations that we received from several local businesses including Allicance Impressions, Barney Miller's, Brecher's Lighting, Cathy Burgess Interiors, Ltd., Donnie Wilmoth, Ernest H. Jones, II, Gardner Turner, Greg White, Holland's Contract Carpet, Home Depot on Richmond Road, Hurst Office Supplies, Jan and Jim Byrd, Karen and Buddy Jenkins, Metta Yoga Studio, Perspectives, Shaw Carpet, STBM EMployees, Tammy Meade, Vital Records Control, Wal-Mart on Greg Lag Way and Web Communications.

The firm was honored at the Community Action Council Board Meeting on April 28 and presented with a plaque.
