Phil has a multi-faceted legal practice that includes advising clients in the acquisition and disposition of real estate, providing estate planning and will drafting services and counseling clients on business matters and contract formation and disputes.

Phil currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Midway, Kentucky, and possesses an extensive knowledge of public entity law, open records and open meetings law, procurement law, easements and zoning issues.

Phil’s practice also features trial work, including insurance defense, personal injury, and construction and real estate litigation. He has been involved in cases involving payment and performance bond issues, construction defects, and allegations of fraud and negligent misrepresentation asserted against contractors and subcontractors. Among his notable cases in this area of the area of construction litigation includes a Kentucky Supreme Court case, which recognized a private cause of action for violation of the Kentucky building code.
