Weaver Named Fellow of Litigation Counsel of America

Lexington attorney, Kevin W. Weaver of the law firm, Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, PLLC, has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. Mr. Weaver is Sturgill-Turner's managing member-elect and practices in the areas of civil litigation, workers' compensation defense, personal injury, appellate practice and insurance defense. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Kentucky and a 1994 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. Mr. Weaver was named a 2007 Kentucky Super Lawyer and 2008 Corporate Counsel Super Lawyer by Law and Politics magazine. He also received the Kentucky Bar Association's 2006 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award and the Fayette County Bar Association's 2006 Outstanding Citizen-Lawyer Award.

The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary limited to 3,500 experienced and effective litigators throughout the United States, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is by invitation only. LCA Fellows are deemed to have exhibited accomplishment in litigation and trial work, and have superior ethical reputations. The composition of the Litigation Counsel of America is aggressively diverse with recognition of excellence in litigation across all segments of the bar. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism and ethical standards among its Fellows.

Mr. Weaver is also active in his community, where he serves as vice president of the Downtown Lexington Corporation and chairman of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government's Fourth of July Commission. He also serves on the boards of the LFUCG's Picnic with the Pops and Special Events Commissions and the Rotary Club of Lexington.
