Josh has established a successful education and employment practice, both as in-house counsel and as a litigation defense attorney.  He represents and advises companies, boards, municipalities, state agencies, school districts, colleges and universities in both regulatory and employment matters, including discipline, employee policies, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Civil Rights Act (Title VII) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Josh has served as general counsel to the Kentucky Board of Emergency Services, as well as general counsel to the Madison County Board of Education.

Josh has helped to establish initiatives that made on-site family medical practice clinics with ARNP-level care available to a school district’s students and staff. 

He has been an invited speaker at numerous education and municipal associations’ seminars and has written several articles on topics ranging from record keeping obligations, to cyber bullying in schools, to social media in the workplace.
