BACKGROUND: A lifelong resident of Lexington, Andrew attended Vanderbilt University, majoring in History and anthropology. He returned to Lexington to study law at the University of Kentucky, following which he clerked for Kentucky Supreme Court Justice William S. Cooper. Andrew was a public defender with the Fayette County Legal Aid, Inc. prior to joining Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, PLLC. Currently, Andrew teaches legal writing to first year law students at the University of Kentucky.

Andrew's family also resides in Lexington, including his father, Phillip, and brother, Chris, both doctors at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

In his spare time, Andrew plays the piano, runs, and plays soccer.
